Dreaming is just the brain going through patterns in your neural pathways, right? So if whatever prompted the dream in your brain in the first place is still at play the next night, it makes sense that you’d "replay" through some of the same pathways. Go to Source I’ve had that happen a few times. It’s not common at all, but every once in a very great while…. For me, it seems to only happen with exceptionally powerful dreams, ones that are brighter and more, um, ‘important’ than usual ones.
