Johnstown, PA and the great flood of 1889
Johnstown, PA is a little industrial town in Cambria County. I lived in this community for 4 years while I was in college. Johnstown is known for it’s steel production, the fact that the movie “Slapshot” was filmed there, and it’s great floods.
The worst flood occured May 31st, 1889. Some of the remanents of the flood are still in Johnstown. There is a church in downtown, right on the square, that withstood the force of the wave and has a plaque on the wall marking the location of the water line. I kid you not when I say that this if about 30 feet up the building..
I have visited the site where the dam was, seen what is left of the dam, and even watched the movie that was put together at the museum. But nothing has creeped me out as much as the bridge. Even before I knew the history of the bridge, it disturbed me, every time I drove by it, it sent chills down my spine. I thought that it was just because it was an old bridge. It was this bridge that created a temporary dam that held the massive wall of water. There was so much debris in the water from the 1600 homes that were destroyed along with the 280 businesses that were lost, it all became trapped in this bridge. Many people who could have survived the watery ride, were trapped at this bridge. The pool turned into a massive whirlpool and the debris caught fire, making a bad situation even worse.

This bridge still stands today and is a very eerie place to visit. If you ever get a chance, visit Johnstown, a very haunted place indeed. 2209 people died in the flood of 1889 and there is a lot of history about it.

Zak Bagans and a human skull in the house
‘Ghost Adventures’ Star Violent Human-Skull Ghost Is Haunting My House
Never bring your work home with you — especially if your job involves ghost-hunting and human skulls — because you could end up with one BAD_WORD-off spirit haunting your house … and pushing your friends down stairs.
“Ghost Adventures” star Zak Bagans tells TMZ, the supernatural encounters began after he found a human skull during an investigation last month at an old mining town hotel — and genius actually decided to bring the remains home with him.
Zak — who built a display for the skull in the basement of his Las Vegas home — tells us, he noticed a huge surge in paranormal activity almost instantly … an angry, demonic-type presence that had never been in his house before.
On one night, Zak tells us, he was woken up by a slight pressure on his ankles — what felt like hands grabbing him — and all of a sudden, the force yanked him several inches down in his bed.
Days later, Zak says he had a girl over at his house — and out of nowhere, she spilled head over heels down his stairs … insisting someone … or something … had pushed her.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg — and Zak tells us, he’s so terrified … he hired a local bishop to perform an exorcism at his house in the next two weeks
Zak adds, “I love my job, but i want to feel safe in my house. I don’t feel safe.” Word to the wise — don’t jack human skulls and bring them into your house.
To help the dead
I have communicated with and put to rest the bodiless spirits that many people call ghosts since I was little. The best way to contact a ghost is through meditation. If you do not have your inner eye open you’ll never be able to see them. Auric senses, also known as the sixth sense, are something that can be learned.
To open the auric eye there are excersises that people can perform to try and see thier own auras and spirit so that they can recognize the ones thats till dwell around us. To be aurically enlightened, depending on how skilled you are, there becomes people like the PSY vampires, that can draw energy off of another person, and those that think they -must- draw energy.
Aura however is different than the actual soul. Aura stems from the soul. So a bodiless soul can not have any aura. The aura disperses at death, and therefore unlike calling a person to you by sparking thier own aura into your direction, you can not call a soul to you. However, people let off an aura of attraction. Pheremones are a physical reaction to the aura set off, but there are other types of attractions. There is an attraction to the soul, where you have used and bent enough aura where bodiless souls are attracted to you.
Children often send off this type of auric attraction because they are more aware of thier aura as colors and other images than most adults are. Usually it fades as they grow older, but there are cases where this auric signal does not fade. This is how the person is gifted to see and talk to the dead. A child can be taught to kept this attraction, sometimes by thier parents, but sometimes by someone who is interferring from the otherside.
Enlightened spirits usually do not interfere, however there are certain spirits that are very intelligent but unhappy. A child can not control which ones he/she can block out or not. Wards are a delicate situation that can keep the wrong type of spirit from your child. If there is no one that can protect the child, then it is not a good idea to allow for the child to keep thier sight of the supernatural.
Protection is a hard thing to accomplish, but not impossible. I am only 16. My parents could not protect me and many horrors came from it. I am going on 17 soon, and I am very sickly. My parents do not believe in the supernatural which put me in the position to teach myself, and allow for others on the other side to teach me. This was a bad choice, and it has caused me much grief.
