Fright Nights Cambridgeshire at Secret Nuclear Bunker

Join Fright Nights Cambridgeshire for an unforgettable night of ghost hunting, 125 feet below the ground, at Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker! The bunker was initially built in 1952 as an air defence station, but was never used for purpose, and maintained during the cold war as a potential government headquarters. The bunker was decommissioned in 1992, and up until this time it had been fully manned… now no longer a secret, as it was opened to the public as a museum showcasing its cold war history.

The Secret Bunker Ghost Hunt includes;
• Mediumship walkround – who haunts tonight?
• Psychic and Ghost Hunting Equipment
• Experiments including seances and glass divination
• Ghost Hunting Vigils in the dark
• Hot Drinks and Biscuits
• Your chance to stay in a haunted location at night!
• Optional sleepover ending at 7am

The location has many ghost stories attached to it which attracted the attention of famous television shows such as ‘Great British Ghosts’. The bunker was also featured on Most Haunted in 2009.

It is known to be an extremely active location, unsurprisingly really, as during the initial building works, both a bronze age site, and a roman burial ground were disturbed due to them being in close proximity.

There is also a legend that tells the tale of a foreman who disappeared during the pouring of the concrete.. It is thought that the poor man met an unfortunate end and was buried alive within the walls of the bunker. Is it his ghost that’s seen wandering the 91m long and eerie service tunnel?!

There have been many reports of paranormal activity over the last few years. This includes sightings of strange lights or mists, perhaps the early signs of spirit manifestation, as actual figures have also been seen, said to be the ghostly apparitions of military personnel – An RAF officer and a female apparition whose voice has been heard on numerous occasion, often telling people to leave.

In addition to the visual activity, noises are often heard of very loud crashes and bangs, and regular reports of stones being thrown, and other such poltergeist activity has been witnessed. The sick bay is a particular hot-spot for activity, with frequent reports of shadows moving across the room, but to be honest, the generator rooms and dormitories and all the other spaces that make up the vast underground expanse, are all formidable areas– you would not want to be here alone!

Dare you join us?! Optional sleepover is included. This is NOT luxury accommodation you will be sleeping on bunk-beds in the depths of the bunker, you will need sleeping bags and anything you want to bring to make you feel comfortable and warm. Terms and conditions set by the venue, state that the location must be vacated no later than 7am.
